Netflix will finally let you take screenshots of your favourite movie scene: Here is how

Ever wanted to save a perfect Netflix moment, like that intense showdown or a tear-jerking farewell? Good news – Netflix is finally making it easy to do just that! With the launch of a new mobile feature called Moments, you can now capture, save, and share your favorite scenes from movies and shows, right from your phone.
Until now, Netflix has blocked users from taking screenshots on their devices. Every time you tried to capture a scene, you’d just get a black screen, a measure Netflix used to prevent content sharing. But with Moments, Netflix has done a complete 180. Starting today, iOS users worldwide can use the feature, with Android users gaining access in the next few weeks.
So, how does Moments work? Imagine you’re watching Bridgerton and want to save the much-anticipated kiss between Colin and Penelope. Instead of fumbling for a workaround, just tap the Moments button at the bottom of the screen. Instantly, the scene is saved in your My Netflix tab, where you can easily revisit it later. And Netflix has made it even easier by letting you jump straight to the exact moment you saved whenever you rewatch an episode or movie.
Sharing is super simple too. Once you’ve saved a scene, you can post it directly to social media – whether that’s Instagram, Facebook, or another platform – straight from the My Netflix tab. Netflix clearly wants Moments to help users relive and share scenes that mean the most to them, especially with big releases like Squid Game Season 2 coming soon.
The rollout of Moments also comes alongside Netflix’s latest global brand campaign, “It’s So Good,” which celebrates some of the platform’s most memorable and fan-favorite scenes. The campaign even features stars like Cardi B, Simone Biles, and Giancarlo Esposito highlighting the moments that stick with audiences. It seems Netflix is all about helping fans connect over the scenes that leave a mark.
Netflix hasn’t hinted at exactly what’s next for Moments, but the company says it plans to expand the feature with even more ways for fans to interact with their saved scenes. For now, Moments is a major update, turning Netflix into a more interactive experience. So get ready to save, share, and relive your top Netflix moments like never before!
